The Washington University Center for Health Policy is directed by William A. Peck, M.D., the Alan A. and Edith L. Wolff Distinguished Professor Medicine at Washington University. Until June 2003, Peck was Executive Vice Chancellor for Medical Affairs for Washington University, President of Washington University Medical Center and Dean, Washington University School of Medicine. He is responsible for the overall strategic direction, agenda, program priorities and operations of the Center and the quality of its programs, liaison with participating departments and Schools at Washington University, academic content of the program, outreach to medical and academic collaborators and constituencies and fundraising. Activities within the center are pursued by the faculties of the business, law, social work and medical schools as well as the economics and political sciences departments of arts and sciences. The Center for Health Policy’s advisory committee consists of individuals with special standing in health care organizations and financing, planning of health services and health plans.
